He succeeds Prof. Kenneth Julien who resigned recently from the UTT and also from the board of directors of the National Energy Corporation.
Deosaran has worked for more than 20 years at the University of the West Indies, St Augustine Campus.
He was one of the founders and a director of both The Ansa McAl Psychological Research Centre and Centre for Criminology and Criminal Justice.
He helped develop the BSc in Psychology and Postgraduate Programme (MSc, M Phil and Ph D) in Criminology and Criminal Justice.
Deosaran is a graduate of the University of Toronto, Canada.
