Since Kamla's convincing May 24th victory, all the PNM leader has been doing is fault finding in the most sincere of actions, maligning the PM and her every move. In their hopeless campaigns they have told lies, half truths and innuendoes.
Rowley is as Manning had described him in the Parliament, a man of passionate rage and anger.
The PNM needs a new leader, one with poise and compassion, one who can inspire confidence with her quiet assurance and ability to recognize value in others. One not afraid to congratulate her opponent on excellence. There is such a person, well qualified and competent to lead with dignity.
Manning must resign and give Penny a chance to contest his seat so that she may enter the Parliament and take her rightful place as Opposition and Party Leader.
The nation needs a rejuvenated PNM to balance the potential mischief of PP officials that always resides in the hearts of men. Even with Penny as leader, the PNM will have a long wait in the wings.
Manning and Rowley have seen to that. With Rowley as leader, the party is sure to lose even more ground starting with the THA.
The PP will be holding LGE again in three years, time enough for the party to make administrative mistakes worthy of criticizing. With quiet dignity and measured voice, Penny can revamp the party and turn it around.
