PNM Manifesto unveiled

The People's National Movement on Tuesday unveiled its manifesto for the 2010 general election.

The focus of the document is on its leader, Patrick Manning.

The UNC launches its manifesto next week.

In a mass email received by JYOTI, The PNM says, "Don't let all the heat of the politics blind you."

It said the other while the other parties and their leaders may make grand promises, "the PNM truth remains:
  • Over $1.6 billion in financial grants to citizens in difficult circumstances. Patrick Manning and PNM – Caring for those in need
  • Over $1.4 billion in Senior Citizen Grants. Patrick Manning and the PNM – Taking care of the elderly
  • Senior Activity Centres across Trinidad and in Tobago. Patrick Manning and the PNM – Caring for the elderly. I CAN VOTE FOR THAT!
  • Training programmes in anger management for parents, adolescents and teens; leadership; and building trust and managing conflict in families and communities. Patrick Manning and PNM – Caring for families, building better communities
"Now, it's up to us to make it happen. Safeguard the progress we've made together. "Make sure to vote for the PNM on May 24th, 2010."

The Manning website is separate from the PNM's official site, with the focus on Manning with the message: "Patrick Manning - We're changing Trinidad and Tobago for you...Stay the Course."
