The opposition People's Partnership has been forced to change its venue for the launch of its 2010 election Manifesto.
The launch was scheduled for 10:30 Friday morning at the national library (NALIS) in Port of Spain.
But in an internal memo to all party officials the chairman of the UNC has advised that NALIS has advised that the opposition cannot use the facilities.
Jack Warner told JYOTI the party had formally applied for the use of the facility. "And, on receiving approval for same, we had also paid for its use in advance for which payment we have a receipt in our possession."
Warner said in the light of this unexpected development the manifesto launch has now been shifted to the Ken Galt Hall at the Dr Joao Havelange Centre of Excellence at Macoya Tunapuna for the same time, Friday at 10:30 morning.
