What really is this nonsense from Patrick Manning, and other papers blaring headlines about Manning's shrieking that Kamla tore up the PNM's silly Manifesto.
You would think that some act of sacrilege had been committed, with Manning shouting about how the pressure is getting to Kamla. Because she tore up a piece of paper? A piece of paper, which promised, once again, that the PNM was going to build roads from San Fernando to Point Fortin and to Mayaro?
Eric Williams promised these two roads in his 1981 Budget presented in January 1981, and the PNM has promised them in every budget and manifesto since then.
At least Williams had an excuse. He died in March 1981, before he could build them. What is Manning's excuse?
That he could become so hysterical over a piece of worthless paper, with worthless promises, is an indication of his own tottering stability.
You tear on, Kamla!
