Kamla Persad-Bissessar promised Friday night that when a People's Partnership government takes office one of the things it will do is provide milk money for mothers.
She told the story of a woman who broke into a supermarket to steal milk to feed a hungry child and said never again must women become so desperate that they have to steal in order to provide for their children.
She said one of her goals will be to eradicate poverty.
