We will rise! UNC battle cry in Chaguanas West

Stephen Cadiz of YEStt appeared on stage in Felicity Monday night to announce that he is feeling "a soft cool breeze" across the land that symbolizes that something wonderful is going to happen in Trinidad and Tobago.

And he said that wonderful thing is the change that will come on May 24 when the manning administration is voted out of office and replaced by a unity government led by Kamla Persad-Bissessar.

He said the significant "coming together" in the unity partnership is something that has never happened before. He said when members of the alliance got together it was to discuss the future of the nation. "All we talked about...at the end of the day we agreed that whatever decision was made would be made in the interest of Trinidad and Tobago."

He accused the Manning administration of pilfering the Treasury and asked the people to accept that change is needed to make the difference. He aimed his comments at those who are not yet committed to change, saying accepting change is the only way to begin moving forward.

Cadiz condemned the Manning campaign for digging up irrelevant issues. "We have to put aside our differences and start the business of building a nation," he said.

He said the PNM doesn't understand the concept of partnership because it prefers its concept of divide and rule. He said what Manning and his party don't understand is the force that they face.

We put our country first and on May 25 we wake up to a brand new day," he proclaimed. "We will rise, Trinidad and Tobago!"
