Letter: Dookeran must work with Kamla

It is my sincere hope that Mr. Winston Dookeran would put aside his ambitions for the present and cooperate fully with Kamla to attain the immediate objective of defeating the PNM.

The writing is on the wall for the COP, which would only have had a chance if Panday still headed the UNC.

The COP chose to support Kamla openly and must now accept her leadership of the party and what flows from it.

Intransigence threatens the integrity of the COP with naked ambition rearing its head.

Manning did not dissolve Parliament to lose office. He intends to use every avenue and device to return to his palace - “By any means necessary”.

Divisiveness is a political tool of manipulators. It exploits every opportunity.

One may gain solace in the fact that in the halls of the PNM, disaffection prevails. Consciences are bothered and hearts are pained.

One must not castigate the PNM masses, but rather commiserate with them in their plight. It is not easy to sever ties.
