The Urban Development Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago (UDeCOTT) has dropped its application to have its lawyers cross examine Professor John Uff in the judicial review proceedings brought against the inquiry that Uff headed.
The UDeCOTT move followed a decision by High Court Judge Justice Mira Dean-Armorer to grant Uff special leave to file an affidavit in response to allegations made against him by UDeCOTT's Senior Counsel Frank Solomon. The full hearings begin Monday.
At a pre-trial review UDeCOTT's lead attorney Andrew Goddard QC told the judge his client is withdrawing its December 17, 2009, application asking for the cross examination of witness.
