She needs to get some lessons on political self-confidence from Prime Minister Manning and the PNM.
You live your dreams and then check with the public if they are on the same page. Short of stopping the carnival, the true- blue Trini eventually agrees to everything. Apart from some steupsing, life goes on.
Who would believe that we had reservations about hosting two Summits in one year? Every thing ‘pass off nice’ as they say.
In fact I can visualise the Property Tax eventually going the way of Pay As You Earn (PAYE). It is as unavoidable as lights, water and television.
Deep down, deep, deep down, we know that we have no chance of Axing the Tax. Not in your wildest dreams.
Hesitating is bad for the image. Until January 24, 2010, ‘image’ is going to be everything.
For instance, take a look at Ramesh Lawrence Maharaj with his noisy supporters carrying their ‘look alike’ placards.
Same size drawing paper, in the same colours, and same writing as if he has one artist designing cards for protestors.
Mr Maharaj’s positive attitude may just swing the vote in his favour, bogus plackards or not.
