A High Court judge in Port of Spain on Wednesday ruled in favour of three members of the executive of the United National Congress (UNC) who had been suspended for allegedly helping to bring the party into disrepute.
Dr Rupert Griffith, Sylvester Ramquar and Don Sylvester, who support the so-called RAMJACK group led by Chaguanas West MP Jack Warner, had filed an injunction against the UNC objecting to their suspension.
In ruling in favour of the trio and declaring their suspension ultra vires, the judge scolded the leadership of the UNC, saying the actions of the national executive against the three members were in breach of natural justice.
