The Express newspaper carried the note below in its Sunday editon:
Editor’s note: The United National Congress (UNC) is contesting the local government elections tomorrow, not the People’s Partnership.
This is incorrect. The People's Partnership confirmed to JYOTI on Sunday that it is contesting Monday's election as a partnership the same way it did in the general election and local government election in 2010.
Each of its members contesting the election would have its symbol on the ballot paper: UNC, COP and NJAC.
