A poll conducted by Guardian Media Limited on October 12 and 13 in the constituency of St Joseph suggests that the People's Partnership and the People's National Movement are in adead heat for the November 4 byelection. The survey was conducted before the PP announced Ian Alleyne as its candidate.
It also suggests that both the new Independent Liberal Party of Jack Warner appears to have taken away support in almost equal numbers from both the PP and PNM. "As a consequence, the outcome of the by-election remains too close to call," the paper reported.
