The Prime Minister's attorney, Israel Khan, got the American IT specialist to analyse the 31 Section that Rowley presented in the House of Representatives on May 20, accusing Kamla Persad-Bissessar, cabinet ministers and a public official of a major conspiracy.
The government House Leader told the Express newspaper, "Given the public interest in the matter, I think it was prudent that an independent analysis be done of those notes for the public benefit given the allegations that were made."
Moonilal said he saw the report by Jon Berryhill, which stated that he found the emails to be "poorly constructed fraud."
He added, "It was very frightening that the Leader of the Opposition would bring a document like that to Parliament and seek to cast such very serious aspersions on of all people the Prime Minister and the Attorney General.
The Express said Moonilal called on Rowley to disclose whether he had been “used” in a wider conspiracy to undermine the Government.
“When you add that to the disclosure I made last week of Dr Rowley meeting with Mr (Ken) Gordon, it speaks of a much darker level of politics, something much more grave,” he told the paper.
