U.S. Vice President and his wife, Dr Jill Biden arrived in Trinidad Monday night for a brief visit. The couple are making a three-nation tour, which includes Brazil and Colombia.
The official agenda for Tuesday begins with a visit to President Anthony Carmona and his wife, Reema. Then they leave for the Diplomatic Centre where Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar would welcome them.
The rest of the programme will be at that location and includes a one-on-one meeting with the PM, bilateral talks with Trinidad and Tobago and multilateral discussions with Caricom leaders. There will also be a working lunch and a media briefing before the Bidens leave for the airport, ending the brief visit.
The principal items for discussion with T&T are energy and security issues and a trade agreement with Caricom.
