The Maha Sabha fought a lengthy battle with the government to get the license to operate Radio Jagriti. It eventually won at the Privy Council, which ruled that the state's action in denying the license was discriminatory.
Anand Ramlogan, who was then in private practice, represented the Maha Sabha in the landmark discrimination case.
