What qualities do you look for in a leader?
Who will you trust to babysit your four-year-old daughter? Who will you like to spend some time with on a late Sunday afternoon? And who will you go to when you need someone to speak out on your behalf, when you need someone to stand up for what you believe in?
King David had many different qualities - friend, lover, father, king. But he was also a warrior and above all else, a genuine man of God.

When David went astray, God put him back on course. He was a good learner who learned well from experience.
The ability to learn from mistakes and correct them sets apart many a leader. When a leader continually makes the same errors, you need to get a new one, you need to give someone else a chance.
Remove prejudice from your heart, hatred from your soul. Replace them with fairness and love. When the people are ready and the time is right, your David will appear and remember it takes a David to slay a goliath.
Make sure that you know who is who, so that you can stand behind your David when the time comes.
