"Evil will come to us in attractive clothes. Dangers will come to us in pretty, polished packaging. They will advertise paradise and glamour, a good time. But instead they lead to misery, ruin and pain.They will come to distract you, to tempt you away from your strong moorings, to separate you from your family and to draw you out of your safe zone.
“And once you are alone in their grasp, it will take a battle of epic proportions for you to escape. And like all such battles, there will be a trail of tragedy left behind...You cannot allow anyone to trivialise it" (the rich Hindu tradition).
“For decades, while the authorities recognised the legitimacy of the East Indian community they were regarded as a recalcitrant minority, second class citizens in the land of their birth, in their home. This neglect or indifference was meted out to East Indian culture which was left on the fringes of the national fabric...
“There was no equity nor was there equality of treatment. Those were dark days when agents of the State systematically discriminated against the Indo-population, oppressing them at every turn.
