The reports say a medical team headed by a consultant-neurologist is treating Manning, citing a senior hospital source. The reports say Manning is stable.
The MP for San Fernando East suffered a stroke in January at his home and was initially treated at the same hospital. He was later transferred by air ambulance to the Walter Reed Memorial hospital in Washington DC for further medial attention and therapy.
Manning returned home a few weeks ago and appeared to be making good progress.

His wife, former Education Minister Hazel Manning, was quoted in the local media as saying that her husband was exercising, "liming' regularly and wanted to keep a low profile for now.
Parliament has extended his medical leave to October.
