PSA president Watson Duke told the media the association is asking for that much since Miller’s name was damaged.
Speaking at a media conference, Duke said, "The lawyers would be the ones to quantify it" noting that "it may well be over that or under that." He added, "I think $10 million in today’s age would set Cheryl Miller and her family right."
Duke, along with Miller’s sister, Doreen, and their lawyers met with the permanent secretary in the ministry and reached an agreement for Miller to return to her job. Duke said he also applied for a transfer for Miller to another ministry.
The PSA president said the PSA would be issuing a pre-action protocol letter to the Attorney General next week. "We hope we will be able to settle this issue via meeting and treating with it," he said.
