The Youth Arm of the United National Congress (UNC) opened its second computer centre Thursday in keeping up its aim of bridging the digital divide.
The new centre is at Sancho Road, New Grant in Princes Town. More than 120 people attended the formal opening of the facility and heard speeches from the MP for the area, Nela Khan and local government representatives Ramraj Harripersad and Lystra Badal.
The UNC's treasurer, William Archie, and Chairman of the national Youth Arm Nicholas Morris, also attended.

At Thursday's function the Youth Arm presented computers to less fortunate families and awarded medals to the members of the Sancho Road Cricket Team for their outstanding performance in their previous matches.
Morris pledged that the Youth Arm will extend its outreach programme to include more legal and medical clinics in the communities.
In February the group launched its legal clinic to provide free legal services and assistance to all citizens of Trinidad and Tobago. he group also has a radio talk show, 'Voice of the Youth' on Radio Jaagriti 102.7fm that offers a forum to discuss important national and regional issues.
