Things are looking up for Tobago's tourism!
The head of the THA's Airlift Committee said by March 23 total arrivals had increased by more than 14 per cent. He said based on that and the 2011 figure of 939,019 arrivals, he expects arrivals in Tobago for 2012 to exceed one million.
He gave a breakdown of arrivals, noting that there has been a marked increase in arrivals over the same period last year.
The number of passenger arriving by ferry increase 19 per cent in February over the same month last year, bringing the number of arrivals for the month to 38,879. That's an average of 1,341 passengers arriving daily by Ferry.

He said arrivals by the inter-island ferry service in January 2011 amounted to 33,530. That's has increase by 4.4 per cent to 34,530 for 2012.
On the airbridge, arrivals increase 11.3 per cent in January as compared to the same month in 2011: 24,423 for 2011 and 27,185 in 2012.
