Photo story: POS Cathedral closed for renovations

The historic Cathedral of Immaculate Conception, in Port of Spain has been closed for renovation. The Cathedral, built in 1831, is one of the oldest churches in the Caribbean region.

Easter Mass will be transferred to the Sacred Heart Church, corner of Richmond and Sackville streets.

The cathedral is expected to be closed indefinitely. 


The first phase of the restoration is expected to cost about TT$15 million.
