The PNM appears to be calling for the repeal of the Defamation Laws of TT. Or alternatively that their leader be deemed above the law.
The protestations of Dr. Rowley and his supporters are not unlike the protestations of Mr. Ian Alleyne and his misguided supporters who are seeking to canonize his actions and lionize him as a champion of rights.
Simply change the players’ names from Rowley to Alleyne and the absurdity of the PNM’s demands is crystallized.
This development is troubling and must be causing PNM legal luminaries to wince.
Perhaps the occasionally incisive Mayor of PoS may observe that the PNM has arrived at a sorry pass.
