NIDCO started a survey Tuesday as part of its research for the possible construction of a Northern Valleys Link, a by-pass road around Port of Spain, that would connect Tucker Valley, Diego Martin, Maraval, St. Anns, and Lady Young Road.
As part of the Feasibility Study for this project, NIDCO's Origin Destination (OD) Surveys will continue until Thursday March 22 from six in the morning to six in the evening.

The surveys will include roadside interviews with randomly selected motorists in the following areas:
It added that the results of the survey will assist greatly in the effort to relieve traffic congestion on the roadways into and around Port of Spain.
- Western Main Road, Carenage (in St. Peter’s Bay area)
- Western Main Road, (Cocorite area)
- Saddle Road, Maraval, North of Long Circular Road
- St. Ann’s Road, North of Hilton Roundabout
- Wrightson Road, West of the Lighthouse
- Eastern Main Road, East of Saddle Road, in the Croisee, San Juan
- Churchill Roosevelt Highway (CRH) just East of Barataria Interchange
It added that the results of the survey will assist greatly in the effort to relieve traffic congestion on the roadways into and around Port of Spain.
