Patrick Manning is out of hospital and staying with relatives in Maryland, in the US. That's the medical update from Manning's son, Brian.
The younger Manning told reporters his father is walking with a cane but is doing quite well. He said Manning is expected to be back home in about one month.
The former prime minister suffered a stroke in January and was initially treated at the San Fernando General hospital. He was later sent to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Centre in Washington, DC, for more advanced treatment.
