PNM members to vote against Rowley motion?

Attorney General Anand Ramlogan said on Wednesday night at least two opposition members of the Parliament are considering voting against Keith Rowley's motion of no confidence in Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar.

Ramlogan made the statement at a public meeting in Penal, attending by thousands of supporters of the People's Partnership.

He said based on a meeting he had he has been reliably informed that the two members are seriously considering voting against Rowley. He did not name the members.

He also spoke about the implications of a motion of no confidence in the Prime Minister. Armed with the laws of Trinidad & Tobago, he noted that if such a motion passes the constitution allows for either the appointment of a new head of government or calling fresh elections.

Ramlogan noted that after making all the fuss about his motion Rowley is now back peddling, saying he has no "mark to buss". He said Rowley has no plans and has no achievements to his credit since taking office.

The leadership of the People's Partnership also addressed the meeting and pledged their full confidence in Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar.
