Maha Shiva Raatri celebrates conquest over negative forces, evil

Hindus celebrate Maha Shiv Raatri from midnight Sunday until midday Carnival Monday. The festival usually coincides with Carnival.

It's the night devoted to Shiva, who is a part of the Hindu Trinity of Bramha (The Creator),Vishnu (The Preserver) and Shiva (The Destroyer).
