Asche sings at #4 Sunday, confident of winning again

Defending Calypso Monarch, Karene Asche, will sing in fourth place at Sunday's Dimanche Gras show. 

However there is uncertainty about whether the calypson show will go on. Artists are threatening a boycott, saying they won't perform unless the first prize for the competition is raised from a half a million dollars to one million.

The draw for places took place Friday. Last year Asche sang in 5th position for her winning performance. She told reporters she is happy singing at number four.
"I think everybody is coming with all guns blazing. My chance is as good as any other. I am just coming to do my thing and try and win again."
