Police make big drug bust in Valencia; seize ganja and ammo in central

Police in Trinidad & Tobago made a big drug bust Tuesday in the Valencia forest in east Trinidad. They seized and destroyed 98,000 marijuanas plants and 35,000 seedlings.

Officers estimate that the ganja would have had a street value of around $98 million.

The day before lawmen found 700 rounds of 9mm ammunition and 9 kilogrammes of compressed marijuana at an apartment in Endeavour Village, Chaguanas.

They are looking for a suspect who is said to be a well-known to police.
