Government ministers Stacy Roopnarine and Glenn Ramadharsingh sort hampers for distribution to needy families

People and Social Development Minister Dr Glenn Ramadharsingh said Thursday 4,100 Christmas hampers handed out to needy families this year were bought using state funds.

However he said toys for the Prime Minister's annual toy drive for about 50,000 children were donated buy businesses and private citizens.
