The Integrity Commission has denied that there is any row between members of the commission with respect to an investigation into former Attorney General John Jeremie with respect to the matter involving retired Chief Justice Sat Sharma.
And it has asked the police commissioner to investigate whether information from the commission has been disclosed to unauthorised persons.
The move is in response to an article in the Newsday newspaper on Tuesday that said there is a row involving the new chairman of the commission, Ken Gordon, and that he had asked two members of the commission to excuse themselves in the investigation involving Jeremie.
The commission issued a media release that state that it views the "any allegations involving breaches of confidentiality or unlawful disclosure of information alluded to in the article" very seriously.
It added, “Steps have already been taken to seek the assistance of the Commissioner of Police to commence a thorough investigation into whether any information or records of the commission have been disclosed to any unauthorised persons.”
The release said it regretted the "sensationalising of a matter internal to the commission" and said there is no row as reported in the paper.
“The commission categorically denies there is any bitter row between members of the commission as reported in this article.

“The deliberations and functions of the commission are always conducted in a manner which takes into consideration healthy disagreement amongst its members with a view to proper and civilised resolution of those matters,” the release said.
