Labour Minister Errol McLeod is not worried about the labour movement's threat to oust the People's Partnership (PP) government.
McLeod, who is the leader of the Movement for Social Justice (MSJ) in the governing coalition, is a former president general of the Oilfield Workers Trade Union (OWTU).
On Saturday his successor at the OWTU, Ancel Roget, threatened to mobilise workers one week after the state of emergency is removed and withdraw its support for the government.
"They have attacked the labour movement and the workers of this country and have betrayed them and therefore we believe that a campaign must start highlighting all of these issues and if they think that means bringing them down, then so be it," he said.

McLeod spoke with reporters about the matter Monday at the launch of the 2012 International Year of Co-operatives at the Hyatt Regency.
"I have decided that there are some issues on which I will not make responses for fear it will inflame an already tenuous situation," the former labour chief said. He added, "These things take us away from the real people-affected issues."
