Kamaluddin 'Charch' Mohammed to get honorary UWI doctorate

The University of the West Indies will be awarding honorary degrees to prominent Caribbean nationals at its annual convocation exercises in October.

Former senior cabinet minister and former CARICOM ambassador Kamaluddin Mohammed will received the LLD at the St Augustine campus during the  October 27th to 29th celebrations.

Other prominent T&T nationals to receive the honour are businesswoman Helen Bhagwansingh, who was awarded the country's highest honour, the Order of Trinidad & Toabgo this year; professor of religion at St Olaf college in the U.S. Dr. Anantanand Rambachan; Former Head of the Civil Service, John Reginald Dumas; prominent lawyer Sir Fenton H. Ramsahoye and Brian Lara.

Donald ‘Jackie’ Hinkson and Roy Cape will receive the honorary DLitt.
