Woman, 22, murdered in Tobago

Police in Tobago are investigating the murder of a 22-year-old Trinidad woman whose body was found at a guest house in Bacelot on Tuesday.

Media reports say Felicia Samsundar was seduced into going on a weekend vacation trip to Tobago, It ended with her brutal murder. Police found her battered and bloodied body in bed with an electrical cord and towel around her neck.

A 30-year-old suspect from Chaguanas is assiting police in their investigations.
Samsundar was a safety officer employed with a company on the Point Lisas Industrial Estate. She was not married and lived with her parents.

Her mother, Davica Samsundar, told reporters covering the story her daughter went to Tobago with a man after shopping at Trincity Mall.

She told the Express newspaper she kept in touch with Felicia by phone and found out that her daughter did not go to Tobago voluntarily.

"My daughter told me she was forced to go to Tobago. She wanted to come home Friday and sleep. But he asked her to sleep over at his house. I didn't think he was a bad boy. He used to come home and spend time," she said.
