A new opinion survey is suggesting that citizens are happy with the manner in which Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar is managing the People's partnership.

The NACTA poll, which has a five per cent margin of error, also suggests that Persad-Bissessar has overwhelming support for how she has managed the threats of industrial action in the country.

NACTA said it interviewed 500 people representing the diverse demographics of the country. The survery was done over the past two weeks, NACTA said.

The organisation said 51 per cent of responded said there is no rift within the People's Partnership; 30 per cent said there is and 19 per cent was not sure.
NACTA also said the results show that people arte confident that the government will complete its full five year term and that there is no alternative to the present governing coalition.

The Prime Minister got an 84 per cent approval rating for how she is managing the five party coalition partnership. Even opposition supporters agreed that she was doing an excellent job in that respect, NACTA said.

On the question of managing the threats of industriala unrest the Prime Minister got at 68 per cent approval rating with just 19 per cent of respondents saying she did not handle that matter well.
NACTA also found that people are overwhelmingly opposed to any national strike and that the labour movement is losing sympathy and support from the general public for their declaration of war and strike threats.

NACTA said there was a general feeling among the respondents who support the government that the industrial unrest is politically motivated. .
