Allen confident he will win Calypso Monarch title again

Sunday night's Dimanche Gras show brings down the curtain on pre-Carinval activities and heralds the start of two days of revelry in what the world knows as the "Greatest show on earth".

The million-dollar production is on the tmeme of the drama and theatre of the Dimanche Gras show, highlighting the different ethnic groups in Trinidad and Tobago.

The highlights include the King and Queen of the Bands contest and the Calypso Monarch competition. Reigning monarch Kurt Allen is confident that he will retain his crown, which he won in 2010 with a political satire. The order of appearance is:
