The Congress of the People congratulates the Honourable Kamla Persad Bissessar, Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago for being chosen as the 2010 Express Individual of the Year.
2010 has been a historic year on many fronts and the Honourable Prime Minister has recorded many accomplishments.
When the country was crying for change, The Prime Minister stepped forward with other leaders to form the People's Partnership. She was the magnet for unity and at the end of it all, she became the first female Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago in the PP Coalition Government.
The COP remains a committed member of the PP Coalition and we look forward to playing our part to fulfill the Prime Minister's 2011 pledge to "deliver, deliver and deliver".
We call on all citizens to 'put country first' and as we congratulate a true patriot, Kamla Persad Bissessar. On this note we urge the Nation to support our initiative 'A Patriotic Series’ which would be a most compelling series of activities leading up to our country's 50th Anniversary as an Independent Nation in 2012.
Congratulations once again to the Honourable Prime Minister.
