COP enters Port of Spain, opens Flagship House

The Congress of The People (COP) opens its Port of Spain office Saturday to signal its permanence in the Trinidad and Tobago's political scene.

COP leader Winston Dookeran announced earlier this week that the office, which he dubbed Flagship House, would be the centre of operations for expanding the party's influence and disseminating its message to constituencies in the East West corridor, which is the tower of strength for the governing People's National Movement.

He said COP remains committed to standing up for the people “in the name of truth, justice and honesty and in the name of decency”.

Dookeran told supporters earlier this week anyone who wants to go into government "will have to come to us for us to take them there," he said. And he offered an invitation to all who want to join the party.

"The doors are open, please come forward and let us go into government together," Dookeran said.
