Jack calls for fresh elections (Express report)

ILP interim leader Jack Warner - EXPRESS PHOTO
FROM THE TRINIDAD EXPRESS:

The Independent Liberal Party (ILP) will be moving a motion in the Chaguanas council to have Faaiq Mohammed removed and for fresh elections to take place in the electoral district of Charlieville.

Mohammed has been expelled from the ILP for voting with the United National Congress (UNC) to elect the presiding officer for the election of the Chaguanas mayor and deputy mayor.

A shadow ILP councillor will be appointed, ILP interim leader Jack Warner said at a news conference yesterday at the party’s Chaguanas headquarters .

“We shall pursue to the utmost and in the shortest possible time, we shall pursue all avenues to have early election in that district to replace our expelled councillor,” said Warner.
