PM back home Saturday; will host media briefing

Panama's President, Ricardo Martinelli welcomes Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar
to the opening of the VII Americas Competitiveness Forum in Panama City, Panama on Thursday.

Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar returns home from Panama on Saturday and will hold a media conference at Piarco International Airport immediately on her arrival. The office of the PM says she is expected to be back home at 4.30 p.m.

Persad Bissessar led a Trinidad and Tobago delegation to the Americas Competitiveness Forum (ACF) in Panama City. She has taken over the chairmanship of the organisation in preparation for the 2014 ACF, which wil be held in Port of Spain from October 08-10.

She also witnessed the signing of a Partial Scope Agreement between Trinidad and Toabgo and Panama that would allow preferential treatement of certain exports to Panama with the same facility available for specific Panamanian goods.
