Ganga Singh, Fitzgerald Hinds and Jack Warner is among 153 persons who have not completed their annual declaration to the Integrity commission according to a list published by the commission. Former junior cabinet minister Collin Partap's name is also on the list.
According to the Integrity in Public Life Act, all MPs, members of state boards and several other officials in Trinidad and Tobago must file declarations of income, assets and liabilities to the commission once every year. The declarations must be complete and anyone who fails to do it is liable to a fine and or imprisonment.
While many people fail to do it only one person has ever been charged and convicted - former Prime Minister Basdeo Panday.
