Resignation is an option, Gordon tells Newsday

Ken Gordon
The Newsday newspaper reported Friday that Chairman of the Integrity Commission Ken Gordon is considering his resignation as one of the options he is considering.

The paper said Gordon stated in an interview that he is considering a range of options and added that he would make his position clear "in a statement before the end of the week."

The Paper said it asked Gordon is resignation if an option to which Gordon said: "Yes,"

On Thursday Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar held a meeting yesterday with President Anthony Carmona to discuss the matter of Gordon's private meeting with Opposition Leader Dr Keith Rowley.

The Commission advised media Thursday that Gordon would host a media conference but later changed the notice to say the chairman would issues a statement.

Gordon told Newsday it was always supposed to be a statement. "The first release went out in error,” he stated.
