PM's office appoints new Press Secretary

The Office of the Prime Minister announced on Monday that it has appointed  Francis Joseph as the new Press Secretary.

Joseph is a former journalist who has worked in the field for 32 years, specialising in crime and court reporting, both in Trinidad and in the United States, United Kingdom, and the Caribbean. 


During his stint as a journalist, Joseph covered all of the extradition cases involving nationals of Trinidad and Tobago in foreign courts.

Joseph has won many awards for his work as a journalist.

He has served as Media Adviser at the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure and the Ministry of National Security over the past three (3) years.

He also served as a Government member on the Betting Levy Board (BLB) for 11 years (1996-2007).

Francis will handle all media-related requests/queries of the Prime Minister. 

This would include responses from the Prime Minister on issues of national importance, copies of her speeches and requests for interviews. Joseph's contact details are:
