PNM must also acknowledge its role in ills of T&T

While there may a lot of truth in what (Pennelope) Beckles-Robinson says about women’s role in the success of the PNM she might want to consider their role in its failures:

• its history of non-inclusive governance
• massive state fraud through UDeCOTT
• excessive Port of Spain centered expenditures and neglect of rural and agricultural development
• lack of decentralized government services
• massive road congestion
• the boom in criminal statistics
• the uncontrolled growth in the drug economy
• the inferior basic infrastructure that plagues the nation

She needs to consider how the women’s group can change the PNM into an inclusive party, how family life can be improved by having two parent families to reduce the proliferation of young criminals who terrorise the society; how to get discipline back into the schools and production back into the unions while ensuring Calder Hart goes to jail.

If she wishes to claim credit for the successes she must also answer for the 50 years of failures and speak to changes for the future.
