Moonilal made the promise Friday when he handed the keys of a new house to the parents of sextuplets.
The minister said the ministry would also be handing out 500 lots of land to people who had applied for them through the Land for the Landless programme. He said there would be a public drawing for the lots.
He said 40,000 people have applied for lots through the programme that was introduced in January. The lots would come with foundations already built.
Moonilal also told reporters the Government and the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) are discussing a housing development programme for the island.
