I am a mother of three young girls from Laventille. Since the army/police lock-down in the area last month, I have been able to finally sleep peacefully at night.
The soldiers are courteous, polite and pleasant and do not whistle or harass my daughters like some of the police officers who were stationed here before.
I may not be as educated as some Senators but I wish to say that the silent majority in Laventille support the concept of soldier police because we are literally “living examples” of the good work they are doing in this area.
