Letter: Jack's work now starting

Those who have been clamouring for Minister Jack Warner to depart in the face of Sir David Simmons's Report must be overjoyed now that he's left.

Whether he went or stayed was always up to him, the Prime Minister or Basil (grim reaper), but, as he's proved over the years, he's a most adroit negotiator, so I'm sure leaving was his decision and that he left on his own terms.

What his departure will mean though, is that his enemies and the enemies of UNC, apart from milking the news for all its worth, shall have to be watching their tails closely.

Liberated of having to toe the Cabinet line, MP Warner will be a major thorn in their sides as he seeks to go out with guns blazing.

Ma always used to say, "We shall what we shall see when what's to be seen is seeable!"
Pa used to chime in by saying, "But only if you're in position to see it!"

So, now that the big man has walked away from it all, I've already booked a ringside seat and gotten new binoculars, for I don't wish to miss a beat in the upcoming exciting times.
