Minister opens First CNG station in T&T in 20 years

Minister of Energy and Energy Affairs, Senator Kevin Ramnarine on Wednesday opened the new Brentwood service station in Chaguanas, the newest addition to the Unipet family.

The station is the first new CNG station in Trinidad and Tobago in 20 years and brings to 10 the number of CNG stations in the country.

The Brentwood station is the largest service station in Trinidad and Tobago and in the English speaking Caribbean. It operates a 24 hour service with 24 filling points of which four are for CNG.

In a brief address Ramnarine said his ministry, in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance, is in the process of putting the finishing touches on a new CNG business plan that would be submitted to Cabinet next month.
