The former prime minister suffered a seizure earlier in the week and was admitted to the San Fernando general hospital for treatment. Doctors discharged Manning just before midday Friday. Manning's wife, Hazel, told reporters her husband is OK.
IOt's the second time Manning had to be rushed to hospital since returning home from treatment in the United States for a stroke he suffered in January last year. He fell ill on Thursday afternoon at his constituency office at Coffee Street, San Fernando.
He was at the office to plan a thanksgiving service in his honour, which is being held at the National Academy for Performing Arts(NAPA) South Campus Saturday.

The family told local media the service will go ahead as planned and that the constituency has invited the leader of the People's National Movement (PNM), Keith Rowley.
